Lesson funnel
Definition
The pattern of how a cohort of enrolled students moves through a course's lessons in order, where drop-off between any two lessons is treated as a teaching signal.
Why it matters
Where a cohort drops off is more honest than what they say in surveys. Andrei treats the lesson funnel as a diagnostic on pacing, difficulty, and emotional weight, not just as a metric to optimise.
Example
Twenty percent of students stop after the lesson on social domestication, and most of the ones who continue do so within the next ten days — A pacing-and-emotional-weight signal, not just churn.
