Open-ended question (course)
Definition
A quiz prompt that asks a student to answer in their own words and is graded by a human instructor rather than by exact-match logic.
Why it matters
Multiple-choice questions test recognition; open-ended ones test whether a student can put a concept into language they own. In Supernatural, instructor-graded answers are the only path to a final score on lessons that involve real reflection.
Example
After the lesson on social domestication, students write 200 words on a rule they were taught was non-negotiable — And Andrei (or a delegated instructor) reads each one before scoring.
